Diabetics can not eat food at random, hence the tight controls needed to minimize the negative impacts that may arise.

What would happen if diabetes not well controlled?

As quoted from WebMD, Monday (19/4/2010) if diabetes or blood sugar levels are not controlled properly, it can cause serious complications in almost every organ of the body such as heart and blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, nerves, gums and teeth .

Uncontrolled diabetes causes symptoms such as:

1. Increased blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia)
2. Excessive urine production
3. Extreme thirst
4. Weight loss is not clear why
5. Reduced vision
6. Nausea
7. Fatigue
8. Dry skin.

Complications arise if the diabetes 'rage' is:

Diabetes and heart disease or blood vessel
Heart and blood vessel diseases are the biggest complications in people with diabetes not well controlled.

Diabetes and eye organ
Uncontrolled diabetes is a major cause of blindness. In addition there are also other eye problems caused by diabetes such as glaucoma, cataracts and diabetes retinopaty.

Diabetes and kidney
In some countries diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure in adults.

Over time, high blood sugar levels can damage nerves. This is what causes loss of sensation or feeling, such as pain and burning, usually starting from the toes.

Nerve damage is also causing problems in the legs which can lead to amputation. More than 60 percent of foot amputations not related to injury but is caused by diabetes.

In addition to nerve damage caused by diabetes can lead to digestive problems, feeling like the bathroom or loss of sensation while having sex.

2. Ability decreased vision or pain in the eye if complications occur in the eye.

3. The absence of symptoms if you have early kidney disease due to diabetes, swollen feet would happen if the decline in kidney function has been advanced.

4. Having sexual problems, indigestion, difficulty sensing when your bladder is full, dizziness and fainting if the nerves that control internal organs were damaged.
