World Series of Poker 2009 Results

Joe Cada, 21 of Shelby Township, MI and Darvin Moon, 46 of Oakland, MD are just about set to begin play tonight heads-up for $8.5 million and the World Series of Poker Main Event Championship.

A line snaked out of the Penn and Teller Theater and down the long corridor leading to Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino’s convention area, filled with would-be spectators looking to be on-hand to witness the final conclusion to the highest profile WSOP final table in history.

Cada, with more than a 3-1 chip lead over his opponent, is poised to become the youngest Main Event champion in history while Moon seems content to let the chips fall as they may. Despite the outcome, Cada and Moon will see a favorable ending to what has been a storybook 125-days for both.

World Series of Poker Commissioner, Jeffery Pollack was on hand to address the large audience inside the Penn and Teller Theater while tournament director Jack Effel roused the crowd during his introduction of the two remaining members of the 2009 November Nine.

Effel also introduced special celebrity guest, Vince Neil, frontman of legendary rock band, Motley Crue.
Neil was escorted by two Jubilee showgirls to the tune of one of his classic hits, "Girls Girls Girls."

Play has just begun with blinds at 500,000/1,000,000 and 150,000 antes.
