Why is Honey good for face skin?

From ancient times, honey is called as one of the secrets of female beauty, especially by women from the Egyptians. According to them, the content of honey can make the face supple and free of acne.

As quoted from the Type F, women from Greek, Roman and ancient Egyptians always use honey in various beauty routines. They believe that honey pick the many benefits to health and beauty of their skin.

Natural honey is a natural humectant. This means that honey can attract water and hold it in a layer of skin so hydrated and supple. Honey also contains an antiseptic, which can cure skin irritation and breakouts.

The content of vitamins and minerals depending on where the honey is produced. This is because the nectar from the flowers which grow from each region varies. In general, honey contains vitamins B complex, potassium, amino acids, and micronutrients. And rich in antioxidants, which makes excellent honey for beauty.

You can get a variety of body and facial care products that contain honey in the market. But if you want to add their own honey in a home-care products, you need a moisturizer is thick as a mixture.

For facial mask, mix 2 tablespoons honey with 2 teaspoons milk and then warm in microwave. Apply on face and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash with warm water. Or it could also mix 1 teaspoon honey; 1 teaspoon milk powder and 1 egg yolk, stirring until thick and smooth then apply on the face.

Not only great for the face and body skin, honey is also beneficial to the hair. If you want to make honey as a conditioner, mix 2 tablespoons of honey with half a fresh avocado and 1 teaspoon of moisturizing oils such as olive oil or jojoba. Massage gently on dry hair and leave for 30 minutes and wash.

As for you who want to have soft lips and blush, mix a few drops of honey on the lip balm. Apply at night and you'll feel your lips softer during sleep.

Not many side effects derived from honey. But if you're prone to allergies or have never tried the honey before, dab honey on the inside of the elbow and see if there is a specific reaction.
